GMI Technology Inc. today announced that their wireless LAN integrated circuit unit shipments increased 77% in the 3rd quarter of 2009 versus the same period the prior year. Shipments increased 63% over the 2nd quarter of 2009. Subject components were for integration into motherboards, notebooks and netbooks, and were sourced from GMI Technology is strategic partner, Realtek Semiconductor Corp.
Commenting on the announcement, Eric Wang, vice president of GMI Technology, said, “GMI Technology is very please to participate in the fast growing Greater China wireless market.
